Adorn Your Days

"If ye fulfil the royal law according to the Scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself, ye do well."
                                                         -James 2:8

"...we must learn to adorn every day with sacrifices. Good manners are made up of petty sacrifices. Temperance, courage, love, are made up of the same jewels. Listen to every prompting of honor."
                                                                                                                            -R.W. Emerson

Adorning every day with sacrifices. I really like that. The little things, something as simple as good manners, say, "my life is not only about me." I can choose to decorate my days with things that say, "you are also important." God's kingdom is so very different to the kingdom of this world. So humanizing. May God give strength to adorn the day - to make deliberate choices to sacrifice. To love. To show there is another way to live.
